New Hospital Construction

The construction of King Hamad American Mission Hospital (KHAMH), a new 100-bed multi-specialty hospital in A’Ali, is going on at full speed. And it is set to open in 2022.

The new hospital is a futuristic concept that will take us through the next 25 years and beyond. It will be fully digitized, introducing ideas like a hybrid systems which include medical robots. A helipad that we can rely on, as road traffic increases, is also a part of the planned structure.

This new BD25m (US$66.3m) hospital will also be the first eco-friendly solar-run hospital in Bahrain, and will have the largest underground car park, when it is completed.

On 26 June 2019, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa had received the hospital leadership at his Qudaibiya Palace, in connection with this expansion project. And the king was briefed on the AMH future development programmes with a scale model and a photo album of the new AMH building structures.

Keeping with the long term strategic plan of the hospital, our information systems are being upgraded with the latest offerings on ERP (Enterprise Resources Planning), and Quality Management Systems, from the world of IT.

The hospital, which offers services from Manama main branch, and the three satellite clinics in Saar, Riffa and Amwaj, is scaling up its information systems to offer better services not only to its patients and visitors but also to all its vendors and its employees.

It already has a mobile phone app that can be freely downloaded from Google Play Store, Apple App Store.
