The Endocrinology Department at American Mission Hospital provides comprehensive body care to patients from the Kingdom Of Bahrain and the GCC Countries. Endocrinology is the study of the endocrine system in the human body. This is a system of glands which secrete hormones. Hormones are chemicals which affect the actions of different organ systems in the body. Endocrinology is a sub specialty of Internal Medicine that is concerned specifically with the evaluation, management and treatment of patients with disorders related to various hormones in the body with a multidisciplinary team approach (eg. Radiology, Pathology etc) as needed.   This includes diseases such as diabetes mellitus , thyroid disorders, pituitary diseases, adrenal disorders, parathyroid abnormalities etc.
