Rheumatology
Rheumatology is a sub-specialty under our internal medicine department that deals with autoimmune diseases.
Autoimmune diseases happen when the immune system attacks its self, affecting multiple organs. These diseases present commonly with joint pain, skin rash, back pain, unexplained fever or fatigue.
In addition to diagnosing and managing these conditions, a rheumatologist can also perform procedures like fluid aspiration from joints and steroid injection in arthritic joints or trigger finger if indicated.

- Gout and crystal-induced arthritis
- Arthritis associated with Psoriasis(Psoriatic Arthritis)
- Axial Spondyloarthritis
- Systemic Scelorosis
- Sjogren's Syndrome

- Inflammatory myositis
- Fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome
